Jairo Ramirez, M.D.

Dr. Jairo Ramirez joined Central Cardiovascular
Institute in October 2000.
Dr. Ramirez was born in Bogota, Colombia and in 1965 obtained his
medical degree from the National University School of Medicine in
Bogota. Dr. Ramirez completed both his internship and residency
program at the San Juan de Dios Hospital in Bogota before relocating to
the United States. In 1972, he completed a Medical Internship at
Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Ramirez went
onto complete his Internal Medicine Residency and a Fellowship in
Cardiology at the University of Louisville Affiliated Hospitals in
Louisville, Kentucky.
Dr. Ramirez has served in many leadership roles within the medical
field. Just a few of his accomplishments include serving as
Medical Director of Toledo Health Center, House Physician at Jewish
Hospital, Director, Non-Invasive Cardiology at Northon-Children's
Hospital, Chief of Cardiology at Santa Rosa Medical Center, Co-Chairman
International CV Institute at Santa Rosa Medical Center, Medical
Director of Cardiac Cath Lab at Metropolitan Hospital and Chairman of
the Department of Medicine at Santa Rosa Long Term Hospital. Dr.
Ramirez also serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University
Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.
