Dr. Michael R. Gonzales joined Central Cardiovascular Institute of San Antonio in August 2006.
Dr. Michael R. Gonzales grew up in Beeville, Texas. Growing up in a
small town not too far outside of San Antonio, Dr. Gonzales,
developed an interest in the medical field. He received his
undergraduate degree from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas
and his medical degree at the University of Texas, Galveston,
Texas.
Dr. Gonzales completed his Internal Medicine residency at the
University of Texas, Galveston, Texas. While completing his
residency, Dr. Gonzales developed an excitement for the field of
cardiovascular diseases and went on to complete a Cardiovascular
Fellowship at The University of Missouri in Kansas City at Mid-America
Heart Institute in June 2006. During his cardiovascular
fellowship, Dr. Gonzales held the prestigious title as Chief
Cardiovascular Fellow.
