Dr. Michael H. Wholey joined Central Cardiovascular Institute of San
Antonio in November 2005. Dr. Wholey is a world renowned
Interventional Radiologist. In 1989, Michael Wholey acquired his
Medical degree from Vanderbilt University
School of Medicine. Dr. Wholey completed his 4 year fellowship in
Radiology at The John Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Wholey developed an interest in interventional radiology and chose
to complete his education with a 1 year fellowship in cardiovascular
and interventional radiology at The University of Texas Health Science
Center at San Antonio. Among many impressive accomplishments, Dr.
Wholey performed the first carotid stent placement in Singapore and
Beijing and has been published in numerous medical journals. For
the past seven years, Dr. Wholey has worked for the University Of Texas
Health Science Center where he held the position of Chief of Clinical
Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Wholey is a dynamic physician and brings a tremendous level of expertise in the field of Interventional Radiology.
