Dr. Socrates Aramburu joined Central
Cardiovascular Institute of San Antonio in
March 1998. Dr. Aramburu is a partner in the group and a positive
force when it comes to contributing to the growth of CCI.
He plays an active role within the organization by serving on the
Management Committee.
Dr. Aramburu was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic
where he graduated from Medical School at the University of Santo
Domingo. After relocating to the United States he served a one
year Internship at St. Alexis Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr.
Aramburu completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Vincent
Charity Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Educational Foundation. In
1967 Dr. Aramburu entered the U.S. Navy as a General Medical
Officer. While serving in the U.S. Navy he discovered his
interest in the field of cardiology and chose to seek his fellowship in
cardiology from the Cleveland Clinic Educational Foundation.
Dr. Socrates Aramburu has served as the Chief of Staff for Baptist
Memorial Hospital, Chief of Internal Medicine for Baptist Memorial
Hospital and served 7 years as the Chief of Cardiology for Baptist
Memorial Hospital.
