Dr. Wu is the founder of Central Cardiovascular Institute of San Antonio, and is honored to serve the patients in San Antonio and the surrounding
communities for more than 15 years.  He is committed to providing the highest level of compassionate and quality care through a full service group practice specializing in the screening, diagnosis, management, and intervention for cardiac and vascular diseases. In 1999, he founded Central Cardiovascular Research Foundation to explore innovative treatments for cardiovascular disease and to promote education and excellence in clinical practice. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

Dr. Wu earned his medical degree from the Medical College in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.  He continued his education by completing his Preventative Medicine Residency from Johns Hopkins University, where he received his M.P.H.degree in Epidemiology.   In 1987, Dr. Wu completed his Internal Medicine residency at Cook County Hospital, where he discovered a passion for cardiology.  In 1990 he completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science.   

Dr. Wu specializes in invasive diagnostic testing and interventional treatment of cardiovascular disease, including coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease, He is proficient in invasive cardiovascular diagnostics and interventional procedures, performing more than 1000 procedures annually.  He is actively involved in multiple clinical research trials.  Dr. Wu is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with specialty Board Certification in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology.  He has been honored amongst his peers as one of *Texas Super Doctors* in Texas Monthly magazine for 2005.  By his peers, he has been selected as One of San Antonio's Top Doctor from 2000 to present.
